as i walk down these tranches
i see more and more dead bodies
all i i can think about is i will ever
return back
i hope to return to my wife and kids
as i lay down in my bed all i can hear
is the bombs going boom boom boom
as i run over the top all i see are bodies
dropping one after one
all the machine gun fire coming from the
enemy line is starting to scare me
when i look at the machine guns
all i see are rounds and rounds
mowing us down
as i hear our colonel telling us to go
closer and closer i get more adrenalin
so i can go get the ones who shot my friends
run as fast as i can like my life is on the line
although it is i hate thinking
that there is chance of never seeing
my home, my children, or even my hut
as i begin to see the tranches
i take the rest of my energy
to get back to safety
i go to jump in but then i hear a bang
a bullet drives rite through me
i hit the bottom of the muddy trench
dead and cant wont be able to see the bench
in which i used to sit on
i see more and more dead bodies
all i i can think about is i will ever
return back
i hope to return to my wife and kids
as i lay down in my bed all i can hear
is the bombs going boom boom boom
